Two seventh grade students were suspended from school because they were playing with guns. Well Mr. Handbook you say, guns are not allowed in schools and should not be played with. True, except we are talking about air soft pellet pistols, and they were in their own yard.
That's right, your child can now be suspended from school for things they do on their own private property. Don't believe me? Ask the parents of these two children.

Who, according to Fox News, simply played with a pellet pistol had a neighbor call the cops.

A neighbor saw Khalid shooting the airsoft gun in his yard and called 911, telling the dispatcher, "He is pointing the gun, and it looks like there's a target in a tree in his front yard," the station reported.

So a neighbor, someone who should probably have an idea the child and his parents, decides after seeing a 7th grader shooting a "gun" at a target to call the cops. Notice he never says that he HEARS the gun go off, not one gun shot was reported. But he was certain that there was some law being broken.

So what does the school do? They suspend the kids because the school zero tolerance policy extends to your private property. Odd I didn't know that. Seems that would be something people would want to know that the laws pertaining to school property also controls your private property. I'm sure that was just in the small print we forgot to read after we passed it.

So just know your kid can now be suspended for shooting a pellet gun at a target in a tree on your private property.

At least the government is not trying to pry its way into our healthcare, I mean at least that is still private. Oh, wait.
